It seems as if everyone I talk to wish they had more hours in a day. What if you could magically create more hours in a day by changing a few things in your life? Would you be game?
Most people blame work for taking up their day and if they didn’t have to work they would have time to start a business, work on their dream or achieve their goals.
Ready for a little butt-kicking?
Most of you have about 9 hours of free time a day that doesn’t go to work or sleep.
What are you doing with those precious 9 hours?
Sure, some go to exercise, errands, household chores, friends and family. But that doesn’t take 9 hours a day. If it does, we need to talk because that’s a lot of hours to spend on that.
My guess a lot of hours go to things like watching TV and going down the rabbit hole of social media and the internet.
The average American watches 5 hours of television a day but then complain about that their life is the same and nothing ever changes. Gee, I wonder why?!
I cannot tell you how often I get the answer “I don’t have time” when I suggest someone read a book that could potentially change their life. I guess watching a TV-show that is just a temporary escape from life is more important than taking the time to read a book.
So what can you do? Pay attention to where you spend your precious time.
Start tracking where it goes. Time is just like money, if we don’t know where it’s going it’s hard to get ahead.
If you’re not where you want to be in life, what could spending 30-60 minutes a day working towards where you want to be do to your life? Even if you exercised and read educational material those minutes you’d be ahead of most people.
A while back I wrote a blog post called “How To Gain 9 Weeks of Free Time in a Year!” showing how just spending one hour a day working on something equals 9 work weeks! It’s like getting 9 weeks of vacation to work on your dreams and goals.
All those minutes here and there adds up so don’t waste them. Turn off the TV, limit your social media and start working towards changing your life. If you need any help, I’d love to help you kick butt in 2016. 🙂
Because do you really want to be in the same place you are today a year from now?
